The First of August

The 1st of August did Spring
A summer's talk
of holidays and friends
made and spent
of getaways in great big rides
of waves which pushed the waters high.
The 1st of August did Spring
bringing summer's heat
and party treats
and august dips of rain filled days..

Romancing June

I found me romance sometime in June
when the flowers bloomed and colored the sky blue
Red, white they smile
Yellow they strike
a common forte with you
I found me a guy who stole my heart in June.

I laid my heart bare for him one day
and picked a flame that burned our hearts for days.
His gentle touch that wound my heart,
His ring he gave to carve our life
I laid my heart bare for him one day.

I walked the aisle with the guy I found
who picked a flame that burned our hearts,
I walked the aisle and made him my beau..

Making it a Story of an Unheard

Her eyes glazed with tears
She cried for a whole new world
To rise up within her periscope
of a window about waters..

Her jugular ways
straying and  avoiding the pain
of seeing her angst come to naught
in a threshold of a maze
of ridden sorrow.

Over the years she's known
some days are bleak while others show your glee
and waken the fire in you,
Over the hours she's lived
she's seen joys uplift and cries gone unheeded
making it a story
of an unheard.

Written in an Opportune Moment

An opportune moment
she said
as she lay her head on his shoulders,
Is what I dream of
when I write me a song.

The words that spill or ones I conjure
takes me back to time
when I did wonder
what the world had to offer.

Poets or writers of flowery speech
masking shadows that create a brief
spell of synonymns or could it be antonymns
written in scrolls
of long past years.

Would the belligerent ones that disguise
tread upon the written with kind
words of wonder?

She heard his call - one day.
