The Tradition of Boxing Day

In the olden days, Christmas presents were opened the day after Christmas which falls on the 26th of December hence known as  Boxing Day in referral to the boxes of presents that were opened that day. After much feasting and lavish dinners to the Celebrate Christmas Day, the opening of presents were left to the next day..

After the feasting and dining
We celebrate a day left to open the fares
Of the great gifts received by noblemen told
Whose servants attended to this tradition of old...

On a day of much reverence
The feast is restored
Where kings and noblemen and servants rejoice...

The First Day of Christmas

Image result for image of the first day of christmas

I saw joy outside my window
In clouds just after rain
Little droplets set its zone
on Panes it translucence shone
Joy came after rain

The 1st Day of Christmas
Children await the glorious day
The birth of Christ sung in joyous tones

Sunset Silhouette

I don't know if you have ever seen a sunset
The way I have many times before
Either going down a mountain or
by the outline of the sea

I always wondered why the colors blend
bringing on dusk with a different view
Dusk being the entrance to another time zone
I wondered if the earth wasn't a circle
but a square, if I could just walk towards the sunset
and touch it before it goes down
Somewhere below in the earth's hemisphere

And I imagine that from where you stand
you would see the outline of a shadow
which would be me and I would be known
by painters as the Sunset Silhouette...

" The Asean "

We don't need to look over our shoulders
To see an integration begin
To feel the need for neighbours
To begin an empire within ASEAN - shobana

The might oft told of warriors
with weapons cast
Stones back in the heydays
Guns and lasers now
A reign of violence much crowned

We, The Asean cast the stone of integration
With peaceful maladies
With rightful voices to speak candidly
The right of integration
Once bespoke of by a visionary

In a world of disruption
We seek a remedy
Peaceful initiations
A success of a failed history

We seek justice for humankind in reverence
We seek the prosperity sired by the greats and often held by the rich
To be shared with equality and boast a friendly inference
To form allies
To resist infirmities
To integrate and form a might
Of a nation within nations
And destroy boundaries
Freedom encompassing
We are the ASEAN visionaries..
