Almost Misty

Almost misty
The gentle awakening of the dew
Against the sun-drop of an angelic view
The flowers an admiration of two...

O reach for the skies
In chorus of two, where angels and flowers they mingle with dew
And start a lullaby and fresh filled anew of the morning they awaken the hues

breathe now the gracefulness of the flowers stay true
to the cherishing cluster of news
That sometimes the angels fort disguised in bushes of growth
Hide flower swept windows open to an audience of royals and due..

The 56th National Day of Cuba In Celebration

The 56th Anniversary of the Cuban Revolution & Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Bilateral ties between Cuba and Malaysia. Officiated by The Honorable Datuk Razali bin Ibrahim, Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department.

Cuba has always been an intrigue to me! A Country steeped with revolutionary patriots and freedom fighters and its colorful peoples who has conformed to the Socialist way of life - much is to be said of their history.
The 29th of January, 2015 saw a celebratory function held at Hugo's at the Plaza Sentral with about 200 people in attendance. The invited apart from the Malaysians were diverse in structure. It was a night of revelry and great interaction with a band that played to the beat of  the Salsa and Guantanamera. I know that each time we attend a Cuban function with music playing, the song "Guantanamera" is sung without fail. It is a Cuban favorite just as Mojito replicates the Cubans to me. Adults and children alike move to the fast beats of the Salsa and I believe the children are taught the steps at an early age. They have much energy gyrating to the beat never seeming to relax in their moves until the music has ended!

With good food, wine and dance - a norm within their culture, they celebrated their heroes with much splendor. Together with the bilateral ties between both our countries, we congratulate them on their National Day and wish them felicitations and many successes for the future in leaps and bounds - shobana

A Thousand Words

A thousand words
A thousand words
A thousand words
A thousand words
A thousand words

A child often talks the language of a thousand words once he is able to. It can be in the form of a drawing or his first alphabet and depending on his interest he is able to tell a story. Every little meaning that he derives from his words holds a symbolic meaning to him.
Can you envisage a life without a pen in hand or a painting without a brush in hand?
The drawing of life can be interpreted in many ways - some with pointed pens and others with an easel of colors.
Can you imagine a life without learning? How do you tell a landscape from a valley? Or why do you reckon the peaceful age to come will need a thousand words and a following?
We are now living in a world of regret..it is true. We have cultivated a cluster of minds evil and diminished a life of beauty. With an attack to the most promising of pleasures and that which opens the minds to acceptance and learning and maybe even symbolizing the art of contradiction - we have created a world of disarray.
Where have we gone wrong? When will we learn that brutality doesn't pay and that we kill the future with our violence.
A thousand words - what picture would you paint with it?

Blue Skies

Do you know why the color of the skies
Are made blue like a summer in its guise
Sometimes it leaves the sunny side of green
And matches the flowers that coincide

Do you know where they hide their paints
And make somedays a day of pain
It darkens the sky, hides the blue and the white
Do you know on those days they hide

The summer in blue, the white and its dew
Would they sometimes make pockets in clouds
When they mingle with dew, they display a fresh hue
On the flowers on a summer blue sky

Blue Skies away, Blue Skies in the day
Do you know why it colors the summer skies?

Colors That Withstand The Blight of The World

Somewhere in a rain filled day, a stream of flash fills up space
The earth and all its magnitude lay at the feet of its due
A lightened exposure once struck
Taking a peep from the clouds
But all it could see among fog
Were umbrellas blue, red, purple, orange, yellow but white
The colors of which did not quite sum up..

The grey of the rain did still catch up
With moltened colors all wet from the drop
The candid shot off from the clouds
Did summon heaven and earth on the ground..

Somewhere in a rain filled day, jostling with lightning and strikes
The grey of the world did sum up
That the colors often withstands the blight of the world..
